The only difference between ADD-care® and ADD-care® Pure with Bacopa is that the pure formula does not contain GABA or L-tyrosine. About 5% of the population seems to have a reaction to GABA or L-tyrosine that can cause undo sedation or irritability. Therefore if someone has either of these reactions with the original ADD-care® formula they usually can take ADD-care® Pure with Bacopa without side effects.

GABA and L-tyrosine are both amino acids that are commonly used for symptoms similar to Attention Deficit Disorder. What makes ADD-care so effective however is the proprietary homeopathic blend. Therefore ADD-care® Pure with Bacopa should be quite helpful for these symptoms if you noticed any side effects with ADD-care® Original Formula or ADD-care® with Bacopa.

Directions:

Typical dosage for adults varies from one to three capsules every 5 and ½ to 6 hours or as directed by your health care professional. Start by using one capsule twice a day. It is possible to feel a slight sedated feeling for an hour after ingestion so do not drive or operate machinery during the first dose. This is not unusual for homeopathic remedies. This feeling almost always is followed by increased focus and clarity. If there is any marked irritability or sedation after two days discontinue use. Clients report that it is safe for children to take under the supervision of a physician or health care professional. The typical dosage for children under 10 is one capsule a day and another capsule 6 hours later only if symptoms return.

As with stimulant medications the timing of the supplement is very important for inattentive and hyperactive symptoms. Start with one capsule and in about an hour and a half rate yourself on a 1-10 scale for feeling alert, focused, and relaxed. The optimum therapeutic window is between 8-10. When the focus declines to 7 1/2 take another capsule. This usually occurs between 5 and ½ to 6 hours after the first dose.

If the focus and alertness is not 8-10 with a single dose once or twice a day then increase the dosage to 2 capsules. If the focus is not optimum after a couple of days the dosage can be increased to 3 capsules for each dose. Do not take more than 3 capsules at a time. Most people over the age of 10 will need two dosages a day and some three. There is no problem with sleep or appetite disturbance. Children under 10 and sensitive adults might only require 1 capsule a day and a couple of days to become used to the supplement.

This supplement, like the stimulants, does not cure ADD. ADD-care Pure® with Bacopa helps control the symptoms that are consistent with those found with ADD/ADHD and therefore the supplement must be taken on a daily basis to continue to be effective. It is also important to stop or limit simple carbohydrates such as sugar and to exercise. It is suggested that counseling by a qualified mental health practitioner be part of any effective treatment for Attention Deficit Disorder.

Most people use this supplement as a substitute for stimulants and prefer it due to the lack of side effects and the focus that they feel. Some people prefer the stimulants for daytime use and use ADD-care® Pure with Bacopa in the late afternoon and evening due to the lack of appetite or sleep disturbance side effects. Some people also use the stimulants and ADD-care® Pure with Bacopa at the same time as they have noticed that ADD-care® Pure with Bacopa tends to lower the side effects that the stimulants can cause.
